We are EMR USA – your local metal recycler

When you are selling recyclable materials, you need a recycling partner you can trust – one that understands your business, speaks your language, pays a fair market price, and recycles ethically. That partner is EMR USA – part of EMR, a global leader in sustainable materials, committed to extending the lifecycle of items through reuse and recycling, and creating a future where the materials that we use do not need to be extracted from the planet.

We are EMR USA

We have more than 50 operating sites across our great country. In the North, you’ll find us in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota. On the East Coast, we can be found in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, while in the South our business is expanding across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Depending on your location, an EMR USA site shouldn’t be too far away.

We can recycle anything from an aluminum can to an aircraft carrier. We also operate ‘My Auto Store’, a state-of-the-art vehicle dismantling and parts recovery facility in Camden, New Jersey that is paving the way for America’s transition to electric vehicles. As well as a world-leading, sustainable, marine recycling business, International Shipbreaking Limited LLC based in Brownsville, Texas.

Supporting our global aim to be fully net-zero within the next 20 years, we also operate one of the world’s most advanced and sustainable recycling facilities in Becker, Minnesota.

Almost every one of our sites in the US was chosen because of its local heritage, its approach to sustainability and its commitment to ethical recycling. In fact, many of the businesses now trading as part of EMR have been a vital presence within their local communities for years, with team members typically offering many decades of recycling expertise.

We have invested heavily in each of our sites to utilize the latest recycling technologies while expanding the number of jobs at each location. We are fully committed to supporting the communities where we operate and we view our neighborhood partners, many of whom are EMR USA employees, as essential to all aspects of our operations.

For you, that means friendly local faces, honest, expert advice, and all the leading-edge recycling support you’ll need. With a common goal of maximizing sustainability, each site is also able to call on cutting-edge technology and world-class research.

“EMR USA sites provide the trusted local service that our customers value so much,” says Steve Deacon, Chief Commercial Officer at EMR USA. “We take great pride in making certain that all our customers, no matter their business size, know that we’ll always have their best interests at heart. Fully understanding their recycling requirements, we’ll deal with all recycling challenges quickly and efficiently.

“Yet that’s not all,” he continues, “Each year, EMR invests heavily to help ensure we always use the latest technologies and sustainable processes. EMR USA is also a great place to work. As an employer, we offer well-paid jobs, nurturing talent and rewarding success.”
