ON ARRIVAL
We are located just outside of the Port of Baton Rouge with easy access from I-10. If travelling on I-10 (either East or West bound) follow signs for LA 1 South/Port of Baton Rouge.
Once on the exit ramp, follow the signs to the Port of Baton Rouge. Mahaffey Road will be on the right hand side before reaching the Port of Baton Rouge entrance. The entrance to the yard is found on the left hand side of Mahaffey Road roughly ½ mile after the turn. When entering the yard turn left for non-ferrous metals and right for ferrous metals.

Paid
Cash payment on most materials up to $300 per day, per individual. Louisiana State Law prohibits Scrap Recyclers from paying cash for copper (insulate and bare), aluminum / copper radiators and other regulated items (see disclaimer) unless the individual has a business license and the material being sold is a byproduct of that business. If there isn’t a valid business license, payment will be made via check, payable to the individual selling the material. Louisiana State Law also requires a 5 day hold on these payments. At the completion of the 5 day hold the check will be mailed to the address listed on the ID of the individual that sold the material.
